Position: Founder & Owner
About me: I am the oldest of 7 GIRLS in my family. No joke. It’s wild! I’m also a wife and a mom to 4 awesome kiddos. Ava is 10, Josh is 9, Eli is 7, and Lucy is 3. Never a dull moment in our house! We love spending time together and during non-quarantine time you’ll usually find us running from game to game. Soccer, baseball, basketball, volleyball- you name it!
Another fun fact about our family… we love to camp, especially in our National Parks! We actually have a family goal to visit every single National Park. So far, we’ve been to 16! My personal favorite so far? I love the history of the Smoky Mountains and the views and hiking in Glacier. Rocky Mountain NP will also always be a fav.
Favorite Recipe: Traditional Lasagna by Taste of Home Seriously- the best lasagna recipe ever!
Drink of Choice: Pinot Noir & White Claws
Favorite Show to Binge Watch: Ozark & Handmaid’s Tale… PS- for fans of Handmaid’s Tale, you should definitely read Margaret Atwood’s The Testaments. I just read it last week and it is SO GOOD! It’s a sequel to Handmaid’s Tale and helps to close out the story!
Favorite Show w/ the family: We’re watching a lot of Frozen 2 right now on Disney+, and recently watched Onward- super cute.
Fun things we’ve done so far:
Roasted hot dogs over a fire in our backyard
Made a giant ferris wheel with k’nex
Baked bread from scratch (successfully!)
Repainted a small powder room using Sherwin Williams Peppercorn (dark grey/navy/black) and I’m in love! See pic below…
Left surprise flowers from Family Tree with hand-written cards on our neighbor’s porches. (And Family Tree is one of my favorite local small businesses to frequent during the quarantine, seriously. Order online, drive up, and they load your plants for you!)
Learned how to roll sushi
Organized kids closets and reorganized our pantry! Helloooo Container Store online! I’m especially loving my new spice drawer organizer- linked here. It’s saving us space to have them in a previously unused drawer right next to the stove!
Ordered new fuzzy “summer” slippers… thanks Facebook ads. Ha!
Bike rides! Lots of bike rides!
Still on my to do list:
Complete a gallery wall of family photos on our staircase wall
Organize the storage in our basement- thrilling, I know. ;)
Plan our next National Parks trip to the parks in Florida!
Really figure out what I’m doing with this whole homeschooling thing. If you have tips, I’ll take them!
Help my husband build a pergola over our backyard patio- if I can get him to agree. Ha!
