Happy noses, happy life: Getting the stink out

Spring has officially sprung and no one is more excited than team WishWash. The sunshine, the smell of fresh cut grass and all the flowers on the brink of blooming are such a treat to the senses! Did you know your sense of smell actually sharpens in spring and summer with the air full of extra moisture? Our noses actually have as many as six million odor detecting cells even!

You’ve probably also noticed that the way a space smells can directly effect your mood. Keeping on top of that laundry pile is #1 but here are a few other things you can do to eliminate those stinky odors. I don’t know about you but these days I’ll do anything to keep the positive vibes going!

Stinky Shoes?

Sprinkle a coating of baking soda inside and let sit for 24 hours. Want to really give it some oomph? Add a few drops of Tea Tree Oil. Give them a good shake afterwards and repeat if still stinky.

Smelly Pup?

In between baths try 2-3 drops of Lavender Essential Oil on a wash cloth. Swipe from the base of their neck to the base of the tail. Avoid eyes, ears and other sensitive areas.

Funky Sofa?

Baking soda to the rescue once more. A light sprinkling of baking soda left to sit overnight will absorb most odors. Use your vacuum attachment to remove and give a spritz with one of our signature room mists!
