WishWash Updates:

Wash Your Hands!

Hi friends! It’s hard to believe, but we are over a month into this stay at home stuff! We so hope you are all doing well, staying healthy, and enjoying a little downtime with your family. We love what we do and we love all of our customers, so in the spirit of transparency we thought we would give you an update on the status of WishWash!

When we realized we were heading into a stay at home order, we gave all of our existing customers a few options: continue service, suspend service, or cancel service. As of now, we’ve had about half continue, half suspend, and just a couple cancel.

We are so thankful that we are considered an essential business and are allowed to continue helping all of our customers who still need us. We so deeply appreciate that our government leaders recognize what an important role laundries and dry cleaners play in mitigating the spread of the virus. Clean clothes=healthy people!

However, it has become increasingly apparent within the last week or two though that with our revenue being down at least 50% over these last few weeks, we cannot continue operations as usual. Please know we have applied for all of the available small business loans and grants, but have not heard anything yet or received any assistance. We realize we are most certainly one of thousands of small businesses in the same boat and are trying to be patiently persistent. But we are not giving up and we will not be going down without a fight!

Along with those who use our service because they love the free time they gain back from not doing their laundry, we also help quite a few elderly and other clients who physically cannot do their laundry. In addition, we are also helping people who are staying at home but do not have a washer and dryer in their home or apartment as well as health care professionals who are working so much right now they do not have time to do laundry. So we are desperately trying to stay open and continue working to take care of the community that has taken care of us for the last few years!

In order to continue helping our community and continue giving our staff paychecks, here is how we are operating for now:

  • WishWash will only be open 3 days/week (Monday, Wednesday, & Friday)

  • Monday pickups will be delivered Wednesday, Wednesday pickups will be delivered Friday, Friday pickups will be delivered Saturday

  • We are not able to answer the phones constantly right now, but will be checking voicemail twice a day on the days we are open. To get ahold of us a little quicker, please text or email us.

  • Please continue sending your laundry to us in plastic garbage bags instead of WishWash bags for now.

Again, please know that we are doing everything we possibly can to stay open and keep helping you through this tricky time! Please email us at hello@wishwashlaundry.com if you have any questions! And as always, thank you so much for your support of our small business! You guys are awesome!
